Hyderabad: The Chicago-headquartered
Brigade Corp, a global provider of customer
relationship management and business process
outsourcing sol-utions, on Thursday anno-unced the
acquisition of the Hyderabad-based Webhelp Global
Services in an all-cash deal effective December 1,
2004.
Addressing reporters here on
Thursday, Sri Dasari, chairman and chief executive
officer of Brigade Corp said the acquisition of
WGS will strengthen the company’s voice
capabilities operations. “Brigade Corp is
currently strong in chat and e-mail support,” he
added. The acquisition of WGS will add 400
employees and five clients to Brigade’s kitty,
Dasari said, adding the total number of employees
post the acquisition stands at 1,400.
Outlining Brigade’s expansion plan, Dasari said:
“We are looking to add about 500 people in the
next quarter. After that, we should be adding 400
plus people every quarter. The goal is to be a
3,000-people company by end-2005.” Brigade has
also acquired four acre of land in Madhapur to
build a 150,000 sq ft campus, Dasari said, adding
the investment for the campus is around Rs 22
crore. “This will create additional space for our
future expansion,” he said.
